Apple Wallet digital keys are coming to Audi, Volvo and Polestar

Apple Wallet’s Car Keys feature is set to reach three car brands: Audi, Volvo and Polestar. The expansion, linked to upcoming Apple software releases, will allow users to employ an iPhone or Apple Watch as a digital key in compatible vehicles.

Availability will not cover every model automatically: it will depend on the vehicle, model year and market. Once configured, the key may enable unlocking and starting without a physical remote. Apple has not announced a single launch date.
