Aston Martin Delays Its First EV: Debut Not Expected Before 2033
The British brand postpones its first battery-powered model and confirms the importance of combustion and hybrid engines.
Aston Martin has delayed the launch of its first fully electric car: the model will not arrive before 2033. The project, initially planned for the second half of this decade, is therefore losing priority in the British automaker’s product strategy.
The Gaydon-based company will continue focusing on combustion engines and hybrid systems, considered more consistent with customer demand in the luxury sports-car segment. The decision also reflects the slower adoption of high-performance electric vehicles.
