Cars and SUVs are increasingly blurred, says Chinese brand
Traditional body styles matter less as design, space and driving position create a new crossover category.
For a Chinese automaker, the distinction between cars and SUVs has largely lost its meaning. The evolution of new models is creating vehicles that sit between the two segments, combining raised bodies, roomy cabins and proportions that are difficult to place in traditional categories.
According to this view, customers are no longer guided only by marketing labels, but by practical factors such as comfort, versatility, technology and design. Electrification is accelerating the change, making it easier to optimise interior space and experiment with new body styles.
