Auto industry costs drive a new wave of price increases
Automakers keep announcing higher prices as raw materials, components and margin pressure weigh on the market.
Price increase notices continue to spread across the automotive sector. Rising costs for raw materials, components and production are putting manufacturers’ finances under pressure, while companies are also trying to keep prices competitive in a difficult market.
The trend affects both conventional and electric vehicles. For buyers, this means less predictable price lists and potentially fewer discounts and promotions. Automakers are therefore being forced to pass at least part of their higher expenses on to customers.
