Bagnaia scores 37 points, but Martin is MotoGP champion
The Ducati rider takes the maximum haul in the final weekend, but Martin’s result is enough to secure the 2024 title.
Francesco Bagnaia achieved the maximum target in the season finale in Barcelona: victory in the Sprint and success in the Grand Prix, for a total of 37 points. The Ducati rider therefore ended the championship with a perfect performance.
Jorge Martin, however, protected his decisive advantage. Third place in the main race allowed him to become 2024 MotoGP world champion with a ten-point margin over Bagnaia, despite the Italian’s double victory.
