BMW i3 Neue Klasse: the new electric 3 Series aims high
The electric saloon introduces BMW’s new technology generation: launch expected in 2026, with long range and faster charging.
The BMW i3 Neue Klasse will be the electric version of the next 3 Series. The saloon will use the brand’s new dedicated platform, featuring an 800-volt architecture, more efficient batteries and an upgraded digital interface. BMW promises significantly greater range and shorter charging times than its current models.
Sales are expected to begin in 2026, although pricing and the final Italian-market range have not yet been announced. Unlike the previous compact model bearing the same name, the i3 will be a premium saloon designed to rival the Tesla Model 3 and future electric competitors in this class.
