BMW M3, the future will be electric with four motors

BMW M has revealed the technical direction of the next M3, which will be based on the Neue Klasse platform. The project calls for four electric motors, one at each wheel, managed by electronics able to control torque individually and improve traction, agility and cornering behaviour.

The company has not yet announced power, range or a launch date. The preview nevertheless confirms the Bavarian sports sedan’s transformation: electrification will not simply support performance, but become the core of the new M3 generation.
