BYD Qin Plus DM-i: plug-in sedan with 220 km of electric range launches in China

BYD is expanding its Chinese line-up with the new Qin Plus DM-i, a plug-in hybrid sedan designed to deliver low running costs and greater flexibility for everyday travel. The model can cover up to 220 km using battery power alone.

The DM-i system combines electric propulsion with a combustion engine, allowing longer journeys once the battery charge runs out. For now, the car is intended for the Chinese market; no details have been announced about possible sales in Europe.
