BYD Seagull: five-minute charging and a price below $10,000

BYD has updated the Seagull, an electric city car sold in China, with Flash Charging technology. The system can restore a significant amount of energy in around five minutes, cutting waiting times and bringing them closer to those of a conventional refuelling stop.

The entry price remains particularly low, at under $10,000 in the Chinese market. BYD has not yet confirmed the Seagull for Italy, and any local price would likely differ because of taxes, homologation and equipment.
