The BYD Shark brings a modern pickup idea to Europe: tough styling, a refined cabin and plenty of onboard electronics. The version tested uses a plug-in hybrid setup designed to deliver decent performance and low running costs in everyday use.
On the road it impresses with comfort and ease of driving, though its size and heavy-duty character make it less suited to city use. For Italy, it remains a niche product, but it shows how fast BYD is moving beyond the world of electric city cars.
