Car market: registrations recover, driven by hybrids and EVs
Sales grow by double digits in June. Electric cars reach a record market share.
The Italian car market is growing again. In June, registrations posted a double-digit increase compared to the same month last year, with electrified powertrains leading the way.
Hybrids confirm their leadership with over 40 percent of sales, while pure electrics reach a record share, pushed by new incentives and the arrival of more affordable models. Traditional powertrains are declining instead, with diesel falling to historic lows.
Analysts remain cautious for the second half: high prices and economic uncertainty could dampen family demand.
