Cars rushed to market as internal testing cycles are cut in half
Industry reports suggest some automakers are shortening validation programs to launch sooner, with potential risks for quality and reliability.
Pressure is rising in China’s auto industry to bring new models to market faster and faster. According to reports from industrial sources, validation programs that once called for around 4,000 test cycles are now often being cut by half to speed up development.
That move can save months in the race to launch, but it also increases the chance of issues showing up after sales begin. For buyers, the speed of a debut may come at the expense of project maturity, especially in electronics, software, and component durability.
