Chinese automakers see Europe as crucial to their survival
Pressure in the domestic market is pushing Chinese manufacturers toward Europe, where opportunities meet regulatory and commercial obstacles.
For many Chinese automakers, Europe is no longer just a market to conquer, but an essential step for growth and consolidation. Strong domestic competition and excess production capacity are making it necessary to seek new customers beyond China’s borders.
The path remains difficult: tariffs, local regulations, dealer networks and consumer scepticism require major investment. To establish themselves in Italy as well, Chinese brands will have to offer competitive prices, quality, after-sales support and a credible electric range.
