Donut Lab Puts Its EV Battery to the Test in Extreme Cold
A -30°C trial checks how electric battery technology behaves in freezing weather, a key issue for winter driving in Europe too.
Donut Lab put its electric-vehicle battery through an extreme cold trial at temperatures around -30°C. The aim was to see how much energy and performance remain available when the thermometer drops far below freezing.
That kind of test matters for the Italian and wider European market as well, because EV range shrinks in winter. Batteries lose efficiency in the cold, so solutions that reduce energy loss and longer charging times are increasingly important.
