Donut Lab tests its EV battery at –30 degrees Celsius
The Finnish company subjected its electric vehicle battery to an extreme-cold test at –22 degrees Fahrenheit.
Donut Lab has tested its electric vehicle battery in extreme cold, reaching –22 degrees Fahrenheit, or about –30 degrees Celsius. The trial is designed to assess the battery’s behavior in one of the most demanding conditions for electric mobility.
Low temperatures can reduce battery range and performance while also slowing charging. The test is therefore an important step in the development of Donut Lab’s technology, although detailed results have not been disclosed.
