F1, FIA and AWS join forces: AI will help design future single-seaters
The partnership will bring AI into the future development of Formula 1 cars, aiming to improve performance and technical regulations.
The FIA and Amazon Web Services have signed a new agreement to bring artificial intelligence into the design of future Formula 1 single-seaters. Digital tools will be used to analyse data, assess technical solutions and support aerodynamic development.
The technology will not replace engineers, but it will provide faster simulations and a deeper reading of the results. The partnership also aims to make the preparation of technical regulations more efficient in a championship increasingly driven by data and high-performance computing.
