Formula 1 2026: the team principals on the grid
With Cadillac joining the championship, Formula 1 is heading into a season with eleven teams and a reshaped team principal line-up.
Formula 1 will feature eleven teams in 2026 following Cadillac’s arrival. Andrea Stella remains in charge at McLaren, while Ferrari retains Fred Vasseur, Mercedes Toto Wolff and Williams James Vowles. Laurent Mekies leads Red Bull, while Aston Martin places Andy Cowell in charge of its sporting operations.
The line-up is completed by Ayao Komatsu at Haas, Alan Permane at Racing Bulls, Jonathan Wheatley at the Audi project and Graeme Lowdon at Cadillac. Alpine is the most unusual case: the team is led by Flavio Briatore, pending a more stable definition of its management structure.
