From China, 2027 cars may bring solid-state batteries and V2G
BYD, Chery and Geely are pushing technologies that could reshape EVs: advanced batteries, bidirectional charging and 3D-printed parts.
By 2027, China could bring several of the most relevant new-car technologies into mainstream production, including solid-state batteries, vehicle-to-grid capability and 3D-printing-based manufacturing solutions. Major local brands such as BYD, Chery and Geely are accelerating development to improve charging speed, reduce costs and cut vehicle weight.
For Italian buyers, the message is clear: the technology gap with Chinese makers may shrink further. If these solutions make it to Europe, future EVs could deliver more range, better efficiency and a closer connection between the car and the power grid.
