Hyundai: without limits, Chinese cars could flood the US market

Hyundai CEO José Muñoz warns that Chinese automakers could take over in the United States the same way they have expanded in Europe, unless regulators put stronger limits in place. His concern is the speed at which Chinese brands are building strength through pricing, technology and market presence.

For the US market, the issue is especially relevant because of the pressure from lower prices and the push toward EVs and software-driven cars. In Europe, the lesson is already visible: when competition arrives without enough barriers, Chinese brands can grow very quickly.
