Japanese FP2: Acosta leads, Bagnaia stays in the top 3
Second free practice at Motegi saw Acosta set the pace. Bagnaia remained among the front-runners as the leading riders searched for race pace.
Pedro Acosta topped FP2 at the Japanese Grand Prix, underlining strong pace on Friday at Motegi. The Spaniard finished ahead of Alex Marquez, with Francesco Bagnaia in third and still firmly in the fight at the front.
The session offered useful clues ahead of the weekend: race pace looks closely matched, and the battle between Ducati, KTM and the other manufacturers should be wide open. For Italian fans, Bagnaia remains the main name to watch in a key round for several rivals.
