Iker Lecuona turned a last-minute call-up into a standout weekend at Phillip Island. Asked to replace a MotoGP regular, the Spaniard quickly showed strong pace and adaptability despite having limited preparation time.
The key result was a points-scoring finish, an especially positive outcome for a one-off appearance in the premier class. His performance in Australia strengthens Lecuona’s case for future MotoGP opportunities while he continues his World Superbike campaign.
