M-KOPA finances 10,000 electric motorcycles in Kenya
The African company is expanding its electric mobility project, with tuk-tuks now identified as its next target in the country.
M-KOPA has financed the purchase of 10,000 electric motorcycles in Kenya, supporting the spread of lower-emission vehicles among mobility workers. The milestone strengthens the company’s role in financing vehicles intended for everyday use.
The company is now turning its attention to electric tuk-tuks, three-wheeled vehicles widely used for urban and local transport. The expansion could extend access to sustainable mobility beyond the motorcycle market, which is already at the heart of M-KOPA’s activity.
