Marquez doubles up at Motegi: Martin is just two points ahead

Marc Marquez completes a crucial double at Motegi, winning both the Sprint and the Japanese Grand Prix. The Spanish rider turned the Japanese weekend into a perfect haul of points, establishing himself as a major contender during the decisive stage of the championship.

The result completely reopens the fight at the top: Jorge Martin remains the leader, but his advantage over Marquez has been reduced to just two points. Every round from now on could therefore radically change the title picture.
