MotoGP 2027: Race Weekend Format Set for a Major Revamp

From 2027, MotoGP will adopt a revised format for the race weekend. The change will accompany the introduction of new 850cc motorcycles and aims to make the schedule more compact and easier to follow, while retaining the spectacle of the Sprint.
Sunday’s Grand Prix will remain the main event, while the shorter Saturday race will continue to be part of the calendar. The new structure will form part of a technical package that also introduces tighter aerodynamic limits, bans ride-height devices and promotes more sustainable fuels.
