With the introduction of the Sprint, Saturday in MotoGP is no longer just a build-up to the main event: qualifying and the shorter race pack points, strategy and risk into a few hours. Every mistake can affect the entire weekend.
The new schedule gives fans more action and riders more chances to score, but forces teams to manage tyres, setup and fatigue more carefully. The main race remains on Sunday, although it follows an already demanding competitive session.
