The Indian market offers several airbag solutions for motorcyclists. The simplest products are vests or jackets connected to the motorcycle by a cable: if the rider is separated from the bike, a cartridge quickly inflates protection for the chest and back.
Electronic systems use sensors and control units to detect a crash without a physical connection. They are more versatile, but generally more expensive and require a battery and maintenance. An airbag does not replace a helmet or technical riding gear: it is additional protection designed to reduce the consequences of an impact.
