Nissan prepares a genuine plug-in hybrid pickup

Nissan is looking at the increasingly crowded plug-in hybrid pickup segment and aims to stand out with a model capable of genuine commercial-duty work. The goal is to challenge vehicles such as the Ford Ranger PHEV and BYD Shark while retaining a practical character.

According to the manufacturer, electrification must not compromise off-road ability, durability, payload or towing capacity. The project could become part of the future Navara range, but Nissan has not yet announced a launch date, technical details or the markets that will receive it.
