Noble M500, the analogue supercar challenging modern rivals
A twin-turbo V6, manual gearbox and rear-wheel drive: the Noble M500 focuses on thrills, but costs around £180,000.
The Noble M500 is a British supercar built around a now-rare formula: a lightweight chassis, composite bodywork, a 3.5-litre twin-turbo V6 and a six-speed manual gearbox. Power exceeds 550bhp and drive goes to the rear wheels, enabling 0-62mph in around 3.5sec.
The test highlights direct steering, impressive agility and a demanding character, far removed from the ease of use offered by newer rivals. Comfort is acceptable, but the finish and equipment do not fully justify the price: around £180,000, putting it up against more prestigious supercars.
