Peugeot E-408 mixes style with a few real-world compromises
Peugeot’s electric fastback stands out for looks and presence, but practicality and value are less convincing.
The Peugeot E-408 gets noticed everywhere it goes: the design works, the raised fastback stance suits it well, and it has a strong road presence in town. On the road, it delivers decent comfort and smooth responses, with the familiar Peugeot driving feel.
But not everything matches the image. Real-world range and the asking price put it under pressure against more sensible rivals, while rear-seat room and boot space do not impress. It is an appealing EV for buyers who prioritise style, but less convincing as a pure value proposition.
