Roswell Park and Generate Biomedicines test CAR-T therapy for ovarian cancer
An exclusive clinical trial is testing an “armored” CAR-T treatment designed to strengthen the immune response against ovarian cancer.
Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center and Generate Biomedicines have launched an exclusive clinical trial of an experimental CAR-T therapy for patients with ovarian cancer. The treatment uses modified immune cells designed to recognize and attack cancer cells.
Described as “armored,” the therapy was engineered to make the immune response more effective and resilient within the tumor environment. The study will assess its safety, tolerability and potential effectiveness; it is not yet an approved treatment.
