Saudi Arabia targets car industry launch with Ceer’s two EVs
The new national brand aims to build a local supply chain and move the country into the battery-electric car market.
Saudi Arabia has officially entered the auto sector with Ceer, its first national brand dedicated to electric vehicles. Backed by the Public Investment Fund, the project marks a strategic step to diversify the economy beyond oil and build industrial expertise at home.
The initial lineup will include two battery-powered models, aimed at both the domestic market and exports. For Riyadh, this is more than a product launch: it is an effort to create jobs, attract investment, and secure a place in the global EV race.
