Smart’s sporty #5 combines supercar-like performance, generous space and fast charging, but it also comes with some compromises.

The Smart #5 Brabus brings 475 kW, all-wheel drive and a 0-100 km/h time of 3.8 seconds to the family electric SUV segment. Its 100 kWh battery also promises strong range and very rapid charging thanks to an 800-volt architecture.
The test highlights sharp performance, with impressive acceleration and good everyday usability. However, its weight is noticeable through corners, while the firm ride, high consumption under load and price make it less balanced than the less powerful versions.
