Spiro to triple battery-swapping hubs in Uganda as demand grows
Rising demand for electric motorcycles is prompting Spiro to expand Uganda’s network of stations for quickly replacing depleted batteries.
Spiro is preparing a major expansion of its infrastructure in Uganda. The company, which operates in electric two-wheeler mobility, plans to triple its mega hubs dedicated to battery swapping as demand for electric motorcycles continues to rise.
The system allows riders to replace a depleted battery with a charged one in just a few minutes, avoiding the wait associated with conventional charging. Expanding the network should support the daily use of electric motorcycles and strengthen Spiro’s position in Uganda’s market.
