SsangYong CCR-1, the Korean prototype that foreshadowed EVs

Long before electric cars became a mainstream topic, SsangYong was already developing a prototype called the CCR-1. It was a technical exercise aimed at exploring cleaner mobility at a time when the market was not yet ready for such solutions.

The project never reached production, but it remains noteworthy because it highlights the foresight of some Korean manufacturers. Today, with battery-powered cars at the center of the transition, the CCR-1 looks like a small but meaningful precursor.
