Tesla Roadster 2 Takes Off: The Electric Supercar Defies Gravity
The new Roadster returns with extreme performance and a compressed-air propulsion system designed to make it fly.
Tesla has brought the second-generation Roadster back into the spotlight, an electric supercar designed for blistering acceleration, a top speed above 400 km/h and a claimed range of around 1,000 kilometres. Announced in 2017, the project aims to stand out even among today’s battery-powered sports cars.
Its most spectacular feature is the SpaceX package: instead of conventional rockets, it uses compressed-air tanks to reduce the car’s weight and allow brief lifts off the ground. Tesla presents the technology as an engineering demonstration, not as a feature intended for everyday road use.
