Tesla Roadster gets a SpaceX package designed to make it “fly”

Tesla has shown the new Roadster in an extreme configuration developed with SpaceX. The package includes cold-gas thrusters integrated into the car, designed to improve acceleration, braking and cornering; the company also refers to brief lifts off the ground, turning the sports car into a sort of “flying car”.

The project is still tied to technical promises and an undefined production schedule. Presented as an exceptionally fast electric model, the Roadster must clarify delivery dates, homologation and the rockets’ real-world operation before reaching Italian roads.
