The second Tesla Roadster was unveiled in 2017 with hypercar performance: 0-100 km/h in roughly two seconds, a top speed above 400 km/h and a claimed range of 1,000 kilometres. However, the project has never entered production.
Over the years, Elon Musk has announced several arrival windows for the sports car, all of which have been missed. The lack of a final version and a credible industrial schedule has made the model a symbol of Tesla promises that have yet to materialise.
