Tesla Roadster: SpaceX thrusters could enable a brief flight
The electric sports car may use small compressed-gas rockets to improve acceleration and handling.

Tesla has presented a new version of the Roadster fitted with a package developed alongside SpaceX. The system uses cold-gas thrusters positioned at the rear, replacing the back seats, with the aim of delivering even more extreme performance.
According to Elon Musk, the technology could briefly lift the car off the ground while also improving acceleration and dynamic behavior. The Roadster remains a high-performance project, however: production and system availability have yet to be confirmed.
