The sports car market splits: more horsepower or more digital gauges?
Between pure driving thrills and high-tech cabins, sports cars are now following two very different paths.
The sports car market is no longer moving in one single direction: on one side are models focused on power, sound and analog driving, while on the other are cars that are increasingly digital, packed with screens and onboard features. Buyers have split between traditional enthusiasts and new customers who want performance as well as connectivity and assistance.
For the industry, this means very different pricing strategies and product plans, with brands forced to choose between chasing pure adrenaline or a more technological experience. In Italy, the trend is also visible in compact and premium sports cars, where perceived value now comes as much from horsepower as from the digital interface.
