Toyota RAV4: the plug-in hybrid that cuts petrol-station visits
The new RAV4 relies on electric power for many daily journeys, leaving the petrol engine mainly as a backup.
The new Toyota RAV4 is particularly convincing because it can handle many everyday journeys using battery power. In town and on short trips, the petrol engine often remains off, making refuelling an infrequent task.
The benefit is clearest when the car is charged regularly at home or at work. On longer journeys, the combustion engine preserves the practicality of a conventional hybrid, while overall efficiency and range make the plug-in RAV4 a versatile choice for Italy.
