Triumph Bonneville T40: Could a New Family Be on the Way?

Triumph is preparing the Bonneville T40, a compact modern classic expected to use the liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine already fitted to the Speed 400. Its displacement of almost 400cc and entry-level positioning would make it a more accessible option than the twin-cylinder Bonneville models.
However, the T40 name could signal the beginning of a new family. The platform might also be shared with further versions, such as a scrambler or a more touring-focused motorcycle. Triumph has not confirmed any additional models yet: for now, the T40 remains the only expected newcomer.
