Used BMW M3 (2021-): a fast super-saloon that demands compromise

The BMW M3 G80, introduced in 2021, combines a four-door body with a 3.0-litre twin-turbo straight-six. The standard version produces 480hp and uses a manual gearbox with rear-wheel drive; the Competition rises to 510hp, with an automatic transmission and, later, optional xDrive all-wheel drive.

It is exceptionally quick, precise and surprisingly spacious, with a boot suited to everyday use. However, its firm ride, very direct steering and considerable width can become tiring in traffic. Buyers should check the service history, brake and tyre condition, and whether all required updates have been completed.
