VENTRA, the electric car that collects tire dust
The TU/ecomotive team’s concept tackles an often overlooked source of particulate matter: tire wear while driving.

Not all vehicle emissions come from the exhaust. The VENTRA electric concept, developed by TU/ecomotive at Eindhoven University of Technology, focuses on particles created by tire wear.
The idea is to collect the dust produced as the car moves, reducing its release into the environment. It broadens the meaning of zero-emission mobility: electric cars still generate particulate matter from tires and brakes.
