VENTRA is an electric concept developed by TU/ecomotive, the student team from Eindhoven University of Technology. The vehicle includes a system designed to intercept dust produced by tire wear while the car is moving.
The project addresses a source of particulate matter that is often considered less than exhaust emissions: the wear of tires and road surfaces. VENTRA remains a demonstrator, but it suggests a possible technical solution to limit the spread of these particles in urban areas, where traffic is heavier.
