Vietnam: from 2027 public chargers open to compatible brands

From July 2027, public EV chargers in Vietnam will have to work with compatible brands, not just with a single automaker. The measure aims to reduce barriers for drivers and make charging infrastructure easier to use.
For the local market, it is an important step: more interoperability means more choice for customers and less risk of closed charging networks. It is a direction that also matters in Europe, where standardization is already a key issue in electric mobility.
