Ceer debuts in Saudi Arabia and puts full focus on electric cars

Saudi Arabia has unveiled Ceer, its first national carmaker. The project is backed by the Public Investment Fund and is aimed at developing electric vehicles for both regional and international markets.

For the kingdom, it is a strategic move: cutting reliance on oil and building an industrial base linked to future mobility. Ceer will work with international technical partners on design, engineering and manufacturing.
