Ceer launches in Saudi Arabia with electric cars as its focus
The kingdom’s first local car brand is backed by the PIF and aims to build an EV-focused industry with global partners.
Saudi Arabia has officially entered the car business with Ceer, its first domestic automotive brand. Backed by the Public Investment Fund, the company is being launched with a clear plan: to build an industry centered on electric vehicles and a modern manufacturing base.
Ceer’s ambitions go beyond the home market. The brand wants to attract suppliers, know-how and foreign investment, while creating a new industrial supply chain with export potential. For the kingdom, it is both a symbolic and strategic move as it looks to diversify beyond oil.
