Tesla Roadster: the new electric sports car targets performance
The Tesla Roadster is expected to combine extreme acceleration, long range and four seats. The flying package remains only a possibility.
The new Tesla Roadster is expected to be a high-performance electric sports car built around substance rather than showmanship. First presented in 2017, the project promises 0-100 km/h in about 2.1 seconds, a top speed above 400 km/h and a claimed range close to 1,000 km.
The car should feature four seats and a removable glass roof. The possible SpaceX package, using compressed-air thrusters to enhance performance, remains unconfirmed. Its market launch is still dependent on Tesla’s development timetable.
